Female Support Worker
Pay rate: £9.50 to £13.83 (weekly pay)
Shift Pattern: Monday - Sunday 12 hour shifts, 8am - 20:00pm & 20:00pm - 8:00am
Requirements: UK driver’s license, Mental health and Ideally brain injury experience but is desirable.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorship and we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in/around the Wem area and able to commute.

We’ve got an exciting opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in Wem. She has an acquired brain injury, mental health and limited communication.

Your role of support is to meet her medical, personal care, PEG feeding and day-to-day assistance needs. This package of care is 2:1 care on a 24/7 basis.

Key Responsibilities
Support Workers cover all manners of support for others – from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping.
  • PEG Feeding.
  • Maintain this individuals personal care and hygiene.
  • Support with all facets of daily living.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure the individual''s safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.
  • Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.
  • Aid with light household chores which may include cooking, cleaning.
  • 2:1 care 24/7.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
  • UK Drivers License.
  • Female only support workers due to clients requirements.
