Position Overview:

As a Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales efforts and contributing to the overall growth strategy. You will be responsible for executing sales initiatives to maximize revenue generation. You have deep knowledge of the alternative data landscape and your exceptional sales acumen will be instrumental in building strong relationships with key clients, driving new business opportunities, and expanding your market presence.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with prospective clients, and convert them into long-term partnerships.
  • Nurture and expand relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and driving upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and data science, to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, showcasing our solutions and enhancing our brand reputation.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, preferably in the alternative data or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of alternative data and its applications within different industries.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
