Position Overview

As a Marketing & Performance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's marketing strategy by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize our marketing efforts and drive business growth. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting marketing data, uncovering valuable trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our marketing performance. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for uncovering actionable insights to inform marketing strategies.



As Marketing & Performance Analyst, you will be required to build, maintain and circulate dashboards and data analysis to business units throughout the organisation, including the executive team, therefore good communication skills and attention to detail are paramount.



As part of the role, the Marketing & Performance Analyst would also be required to identify errors/bugs and areas for improvement across our marketing performance channels and direct-to-consumer websites through data analysis and interrogation. This will require a mix of analytical and technical skills, including proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics (GA4), Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, Power BI, Tableau and marketing performance platforms such as Google Ads and Meta.



The successful candidate will also have the scope to develop the role and assist in building out the marketing performance and analytical function of the business.



Qualifications and Training

  • Degree in Data Science, Mathematics or a similar discipline. Or a demonstrable track record or performing in an equivalent role
  • Proven working experience in data analysis
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, Power BI or similar
  • Familiarity with Google Tag Manager
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modelling techniques
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex data findings clearly
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A passion for marketing and a desire to drive results through data-driven insights


Key Duties & Responsibilities:



Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret marketing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization
  • Create detailed reports and dashboards to communicate key performance metrics and insights to stakeholders and the leadership team
  • Use statistical and analytical tools to extract insights from large datasets
  • Communicate complex data findings in a clear and understandable manner


Performance Tracking and Optimisation:

  • Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., PPC, social media, email, SEO, affiliates, etc)
  • Identify opportunities for improving marketing efficiency and effectiveness through data analysis
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to test and optimize various elements of websites and campaigns, including customer buying journeys, landing pages and PPC ad copy
  • Assist in implementing tracking improvements across our D2C websites, including GTM optimisations and data layer ingestion


Audience Segmentation:

  • Segment customer and prospect data to better understand customer behaviour and preferences
  • Develop personas and audience profiles to guide targeted marketing efforts


Forecasting and Budgeting:

  • Assist in budget planning and allocation based on historical data and market trends
  • Create forecasts and projections for marketing initiatives


Data Visualization:

  • Use data visualization tools to present data in a clear and actionable manner
  • Translate complex data into easy-to-understand visuals for non-technical stakeholders


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments such as product, marketing, design and finance to align marketing efforts with overall business goals
