Role Overview

As a critical contributor to the company’s growth, you will collaborate closely with partners to develop and implement a sales strategy that aligns with our business objectives. Your expertise will be vital in establishing and nurturing a strong network of validated contacts, especially within Private Equity, Corporate Finance, and the CFO community. Working alongside the senior delivery team, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities while crafting compelling proposals that resonate with potential clients. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will shine as you lead sales meetings, ensuring our team is well-prepared and positioned for success.

Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with partners and the Business Development team to create and execute a strategic sales plan in line with company goals.
  • Develop and maintain a robust network of validated contacts within Private Equity, Corporate Finance, and the CFO community.
  • Work with the senior delivery team to identify new opportunities and design engaging proposals.
  • Host and facilitate sales meetings, ensuring all representatives are well-prepared and professional.
  • Engage proactively in a designated number of in-person meetings and calls with key accounts.
  • Leverage networks, corporate finance news, and data sources to uncover potential contacts.
  • Conduct thorough research on individuals and companies prior to meetings to tailor your approach effectively.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention by managing designated accounts proficiently.
  • Collaborate with fellow Business Development team members to maximize the effectiveness of each contact.
  • Oversee the engagement process, delivering proposals and engagement letters promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities in compliance with GDPR regulations.
  • Regularly update and maintain the CRM system to ensure smooth collaboration within the team.
  • Gather feedback post-project completion to drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Represent the company at relevant networking events.


Candidate Requirements


  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Professional Services (Consultancy/Advisory).
  • At least 12 months of direct Business Development experience.
  • Proven success in meeting and surpassing targets.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services, Private Equity, Professional Services, or Investment Banking is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on planning effective external meetings.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to attend in-person meetings across London and the South of England.
  • Quick learner with the ability to quickly understand new industries.
  • Enthusiasm for expanding an SME's client base, along with awareness of the associated challenges.
