Role:

We are looking for an AVP, Compliance to support the Head of Compliance in executing a comprehensive programme across the Group. This role has a broad mandate and the ability to leverage data and technology to deliver enhancements to current approaches will be central to its success.


Responsibilities:

  • Owning change control processes.
  • Delivering transformational change to the Group’s Risk Rating Tool (“RRT”) methodology.
  • Supporting strategic projects to upgrade or enhance the Group’s monitoring and surveillance systems.
  • Supporting the success of the Group Compliance Validation Testing (“CVT”) programme.
  • Continually reviewing and making recommendations to optimise the orchestration of the Group’s risk data.
  • Contributing to the efficacy of the Group’s Management Reporting (“MI”) mechanisms, driving automation, simplification and efficiency.
  • Supporting the Head of Compliance with ad hoc projects, as well as tactical or strategic initiatives as required, including due diligence for M&A activity.
  • Collaborating with jurisdictional and Group stakeholders to deliver initiatives.


Required experience/skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of compliance experience with an international financial services organisation (preferably in banking industry).
  • Strong understanding of financial crime, regulatory compliance and international sanctions obligations across UK and CDOT jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrable competencies in managing large data sets, with SQL experience highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and reporting writing skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • High ethical standards with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with absolute discretion
