Mapped Recruitment is delighted to be working with a multi-site retail organisation (150 + stores) on their search for a HR/Payroll Data/Systems associate to join the team on an interim period for circa 3-6 months (starting in January 2025).


The Interim HR & Payroll Data management coordinator will support both the HR departments in the phase before a new HRIS system implementation - reporting into the Head of People working closely with the Payroll Manager.


This role has been newly created to support the preparation and cleansing of HR and payroll data before a new HR system is implemented.


Key Responsibilities:


Data Cleansing and Preparation:

  • Review and cleanse HR and payroll data from the current system (BambooHR) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and resolve any inconsistencies or discrepancies in employee data, payroll records, benefits, and other HR-related information.
  • Standardize data formats to ensure compatibility with the new HR system.

Data Migration:

  • Support the migration of HR and payroll data from BambooHR to the new HR system, ensuring that all data is accurately transferred.
  • Collaborate with the IT and HR teams to ensure a seamless transition and integration of the new system.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create and maintain clear documentation of data migration processes and procedures.
  • Provide regular updates on the progress of data cleansing and migration to relevant stakeholders.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with the HR and payroll teams to understand data requirements and ensure the data is aligned with the needs of the new system.

Key Requirements:


  • A minimum of 2 years experience within a HR Data-driven role
  • Experience using a variety of HR systems such as Acccess and Bamboo
  • Familiarity with the BambooHR system and its integration capabilities.
  • Aptitude to work with high-volume data sets (ideally in a fast-paced environment)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with HRIS system implementation and integration projects.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security practices related to HR data.

Successful candidates must be available to start a role at short notice (January 2025) and be looking to commit to a fixed-term contract.


This role is based in the London Bridge area (hybrid working - 3 days in the office), 9am - 5pm working hours.
