At easyJet we are leading an exciting transformation agenda, the Transformation Communication Manager will own and shape communication strategies that engage, inform and inspire. They will create compelling content that connects our people to our purpose through the exciting work of the Enterprise portfolio of change.


Working as part of the Business Change management team, the Transformation Communication Manager will facilitate and lead the development of easyJet’s transformation story ensuring employees, contractors and third parties understand the story of change, how it delivers the easyJet’s strategy and the impact to our teams. The Transformation Communication Manager will also work closely with the easyJet Internal Communications team to surface opportunities to share these stories with the wider organisation through our well established, airline-wide communication channels.


JOB PURPOSE

The role holder will work at both a strategic and operational level, developing and leading on a multifaceted strategic communications plan on behalf of IT, Data & Change. They will craft and execute compelling campaigns that bring to life the cutting edge work of the function, make it meaningful for our people whilst leveraging market experience and industry best practice. Additionally working with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, from C-Suite to front line teams.


JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

⦁ Communications strategy: Accountable for the development of the transformation engagement strategy and its delivery at an operational level by acting as a trusted partner to the IT, Data & Change Leadership Team

⦁ Communications planning: Lead, develop and deliver tailored strategic communication and engagement plans for key campaigns, projects, programmes and issues, to maximise engagement for target communities

⦁ Leadership partnering: Act as a lead advisor by providing strategic advice/consultancy to leadership teams to enable them to communicate effectively to audiences on often technically complex topics

⦁ Content strategy and creation: Create compelling multimedia content and campaigns that aligns to business priorities and drives behaviour change, helping our teams understand what is happening, why it’s happening and what action to take

⦁ Change and transformation journalism: Source, write, edit and maintain quality control of compelling change stories that pull together key facets from our transformation programmes that can be shared across the organisation

⦁ Channel development and management: Optimize and manage IT, Data & Change specific communication channels, working closely with our internal communication team

⦁ Coach and upskill a communications network: Rebuild the IT, Data & Change communications network with a focus on sharing best practice, increasing confidence and capability to increase overall engagement

⦁ Events and large scale meetings: Lead on the development of our IT, Data & Change events agenda and content bringing together leaders and volunteers to deliver. This will include two large scale conferences per year and monthly all hands meetings

⦁ Metrics and reporting: Analyse and manage communication flow, frequency, and success measures to enhance overall channel effectiveness and engagement

⦁ Communication framework: Own and develop a clear communication framework, overall comms calendar management and socialise the communication standards/playbook

⦁ Change portfolio: Maintain a strong understanding of the change portfolio, staying abreast of nuances as well as synergies between programmes and projects looking for opportunities to build transformational stories


KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

⦁ Exceptional communicator who can build great relationships with people across different specialisms and levels with the ability to tell great stories

⦁ Skilled and experienced in developing and delivering communication strategies for transformation programmes or the transformation office

⦁ Outstanding writing and editing skills, excellent presentation skills with a strong attention to detail

⦁ Confident in leading on the development of a communications strategy, plan and channel management for a disparate workforce made up of a number of different disciplines

⦁ Assertive and able to deal with difficult people and situations

⦁ Adept at sourcing a story from complex, ambiguous or IT industry specific information and turning into engaging content that drives understanding and connection with people

⦁ Self-driven with exceptional organisation and project management skills to support juggling the creative and strategic needs of the role

⦁ Experience in creating content across a number of mediums, design and video production and editing and the management of external creative agencies

⦁ Ability to craft and deliver largescale events and meetings
