Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and delivery of AstraZeneca’s global indirect tax strategy. You will partner with various stakeholder groups providing strategic support on worldwide corporate M&A transactions. You will also be responsible for researching and advising on complex issues such as cross-border place of supply and time of supply issues, complex global supply chain operations, multi-jurisdiction business re-organisations, clinical and R&D operations, and business promotion and marketing activities.


Essential Skills/Experience:

  • CTA (or equivalent) Qualified
  • Extensive VAT advisory and M&A deals experience (ideally gained from Big 4 / Top 10 firm or Multinational Organisation).
  • VAT experience in pharmaceutical industry (desirable)
  • Detail oriented with strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) alongside the ability to collaborate well in large teams.
  • Ability to manage and lead numerous complex projects and assignments (mostly multi-jurisdictional), and to progress actions in a co-ordinated and organised manner within budget.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams in a timely manner.
  • Experience managing a team across different geographical locations.
