The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Lead for Business Development and Partnerships to lead our expansion efforts with payment companies across the UK, Europe, and North America. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a robust background in payment sector risk management and a proven track record of engaging with senior executives to foster product adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Development: Proactively identify and target key new business opportunities to broaden our client base within the payment industry. Utilize existing relationships and forge new alliances to drive business growth
- Drive Revenue Growth: Get more clients in through our sales cycle to start actively working with us; build relationships across the payments industry to continue improve our BD pipeline
- Lead Market Engagement: Craft high-quality go-to-market strategies and materials; initiate and maintain engagement with senior executives, along with risk, commercial, and technical stakeholders at prospective partners to secure business deals.
- Ensure Service Quality: Work collaboratively with internal teams to guarantee that service delivery aligns with client expectations and maintains the highest standards.
- Support Insurance Partnerships: Work with our internal risk team and insurance partners to deliver our innovative risk mitigation solution to partners

Candidate Evaluation Criteria
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management within the payments industry
- Extensive network within the payment sector, particularly in the UK and Europe (US network would be a big plus)
- Experience in startup environments, ideally from initial concept to market launch (0 to 1 experience)
- A proactive go-getter with a strong sales mentality
