The Role

The Events & Communications Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and execution of Prima’s annual events calendar and internal comms which includes but is not limited to the delivery of exhibitions, trade days and internal events. You will work with the Head of Marketing and the Marketing Assistant to produce the annual events and internal comms strategy and then implement it with the view of keeping the company engaged and informed as well as raising Prima’s profile in the relevant markets.


This involves full ownership of the events planner, managing the logistics from inception to completion, sourcing, delivering and managing events collateral and brand merchandise, managing key relationships and communications with key stakeholders and suppliers; and collaboration with the wider marketing team to identify opportunities to amplify our events activity.


Exhibitions and trade shows - a big part of our events schedule involves exhibiting at trade shows and exhibitions both in the UK and international markets. You will be key in delivering amazing stand visuals that will engage potential customers and drive brand awareness in the relevant markets. You will plan and deliver exhibition stand visuals, events collateral and identify opportunities for content and data collection. You will source and manage the delivery and distribution of brand merchandise for international and UK shows. You will also work closely with the relevant departments to monitor and report on the success of our events activity.


Trade days – you will be the point person in the marketing team for all trade days and sales visits, responsible for the smooth running of all trade day activity with our customers. Which will involve maintaining an annual trade day calendar ensuring that Prima is ahead of the curve and poised to deliver effective trade day initiatives that will captivate new customers and ultimately help the sales team strengthen customer relationships and drive new business.


Careers days an apprentice fairs – you will support our HR team in delivering their events strategy which will involve marcomms support and collateral production.


Internal Events – with over 200 members of staff across two sites, you will own our internal events schedule with support from our Marketing Assistant to deliver staff engagement events including our annual internal festival, PrimaFest.


Internal communications – as part of your role you will be responsible for keeping the wider company engaged and informed on all things Prima. Whether it’s communicating upcoming internal events or rallying the troops to cast their votes for our Employee of the Month initiative – this is a very visible role within the marketing team that will put you in touch with every department in the company, so we are looking for a natural born communicator who can communicate effectively with all levels of an organisation. As part of your internal comms duties, you will own award submissions for the company, ensuring that all the relevant departments are involved and delivering against their actions.


Requirements

· You will need to have experience planning and executing events with commercial objectives

· Excellent knowledge of how to utilise marketing to amplify event activity

· Ability to write clear and compelling briefs in order to get the best out of our collaborating partners

· You will have a collaborative mindset, be very organised and have excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to gather, scrutinise and report on data to improve our output

· Proactive, and able communicate effectively with other departments across the business at all levels

· Must be creative with the ability to bring new ideas to the table

· Be reliable and accountable for your role

· A love for cheese would also be handy
