An acclaimed design studio is seeking a Document Controller to join their vibrant South London team. With over 40 of years of experience in delivering industry-leading design solutions, this practice values creative thinking and the ability to transform innovative ideas into reality.
The role is crucial within the project administration team, where you will work on two dynamic mega-projects. You should have 3-4 years of experience collaborating closely with internal and external project teams, client Document Management teams, third-party consultants, and other stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include controlling the issuing and distribution of documents, verifying documents for accuracy and compliance, tracking and monitoring document revisions, and maintaining project registers and control logs. You'll be instrumental in developing and implementing document control processes and procedures, updating document control systems, assisting project teams with storage structures, and ensuring proper document distribution flow. Regular audits to ensure compliance with document control policies and providing training and support on document control procedures will also be part of your role.
To thrive in this position, you should have excellent document control experience in an architecture or interior design environment. Strong knowledge of document control regulations, principles, practices, and standards, along with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, are essential. You should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, work well under pressure, and be able to handle multiple strict timelines. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is crucial.
Experience in using Aconex document management software is essential for this role. Proficiency in other document management software such as INAXUS or other process-led document control systems is advantageous. Familiarity with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite will also be beneficial.
