Demand Planning Manager

TalentPool have exclusively partnered with an exciting consumer product business in the entertainment industry. Our client is undergoing a significant period of growth and are seeking a highly skilled Demand Planning Manager to oversee the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process across Europe’s domestic markets. The Demand Planning team is at the heart of this expansion, ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of our processes.
Role Overview: The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for managing the entire S&OP process, ensuring alignment with the business’ long-term strategy and growth objectives. Collaborating closely with Brand & Marketing, Commercial Sales, and Operations teams, this role will support all demand planning activities over an 18-month rolling horizon, ensuring that the business remains responsive and proactive in its approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- S&OP Management: Oversee the end-to-end S&OP process for domestic sales territories, working closely with Brand & Marketing.
- Seasonal Range Planning: Drive the effective development of the seasonal range planning process, collaborating with Brand & Marketing and Sales teams with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Forecasting & Analysis: Lead monthly customer reviews and territory consensus meetings, summarising forecast changes, identifying significant trends, and implementing actions to optimise commercial results.
- Reporting: Produce reliable reports with high levels of integrity, ensuring that sales forecasts reflect individual customer needs and build market confidence.
- System Expertise: Provide training and support for demand planning systems and facilitate the enhancement of planning applications.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Previous experience in Sales & Operations Planning Management, ideally within the FMCG industry.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems (Sage X3 preferred) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Drive, particularly in pivot tables, lookups, and graphs.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
- Work Ethic: Independent, responsible, and able to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Mindset: Process-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Team Player: Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable with a flexible, ‘can-do’ approach to work.
