I am looking for a Legal Operations Team Leader to run a busy Criminal Defence Law Team.

**The day-to-day duties for the position**:

- In charge of coaching and mentoring the legal professionals and operational support team, provide guidance, direction and ensuring high performance and productivity levels.
- Outlining clear objectives/ KPIS for team, conducting regular review and monitoring performance. Providing guidance and supporting both business and individual objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate performance.
- Manae the talent pipeline and ad hoc support to the higher management team.
- In charge of delegating tasks for Legal Assistant and Qualified Legal professionals.
- Coordinate and prioritise activities, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately deadlines as per firm policies and procedures.
- Manage resources (holiday, absences, out of office days etc)/
- Analysis existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Approve payments as part of delegated authority.

**Operation Duties**:

- Allocation, delegation and monitoring of tasks and activities of team and managing adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Management of HR processes for team (recruitment, induction, training, performance management etc)
- Flexibility to support issues that may occur out hours.

**The ideal person**:

- Proven operations or people management role previously
- Knowledge and understanding of the legal framework.
- Ability to input and interpret data.
- A team player, and role model to establish a positive team culture.
- Commercially aware and knowledge of setting and delivering business objectives and driving performance and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards.
- Proficiency with MS office.
