The Puddleduck Nursery is a small nursery in Nunhead, South East London, close to many transport links such as Brockley, Nunhead and Peckham. We provide Early Education to children aged 1 - 5 years old and have been operating in the area for 27 years.

There are regular training opportunities through a variety of providers, including 4 Inset days each year for team development

The Puddleduck Nursery is offering an opportunity to join our team as we develop and expand to meet the changing needs of Early Years provision.

In particular, we would value knowledge and experience in working with the very youngest of our children aged 1 -2 years.

This is a full-time permanent position offered over 4 days a week, for a Level 3 (or working towards) qualified person. A level 2 qualification will also be considered.

There are also opportunities for an unqualified person to train with us.

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Working closely with the management and staff team to create a safe learning environment for children to develop and grow through their play
- Support the manager in the development and implementation of progress and changes within the sector
- Developing enabling environments and resources which meet individual needs of children
- Planning in the moment and implementing learning experiences in alignment with the EYFS framework
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Adhering to the nursery’s safeguarding policy at all times

**Requirements or Skills**:

- A full and relevant Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare such as EYE, NVQ, CACHE or recognised equivalent
- A good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Knowledge of Safeguarding practices
- Experience working in a nursery environment
- The right to work in the UK and a clear enhanced DBS

- Diploma of Higher Education (required)

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 1 year (required)
- nursery: 1 year (preferred)
- Nursery experience: 1 year (required)
- Working with children ander2: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Level 3 or Level 2 (required)

Work authorisation:

- United Kingdom (required)
