Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Early Years Practitioner based in our South Shields nurseries. The Early Years Practitioner will work directly with children, supporting their learning, development, and well-being. Daily responsibilities include developing and implementing engaging activities, maintaining safe and stimulating environments, observing and assessing children's progress, and collaborating with families to support individual needs. The role also involves participating in team discussions and planning to ensure consistency in the delivery of educational standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Early Childhood Development and Working With Children to promote growth and learning in young children
  • Creativity Skills for designing and implementing engaging and age-appropriate activities
  • Interpersonal Skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Organization Skills to manage planning, record-keeping, and classroom setup effectively
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in early years education or childcare (e.g., Level 3 Childcare Qualification, CACHE) are highly desirable
  • Basic understanding of health, safety, and safeguarding protocols
  • Passion for working with children and making a positive difference in their early learning experience
