An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Imaging department based at Liverpool Women's Hospital for a part time (22.5 hours per week) Band 3 Diagnostic Appointments Co-ordinator to join the team on a permanent basis.
The post holders will possess the ability to work autonomously, using their own initiative, supported by the Operational Support Manager as required, as well as working as part of the Diagnostic Clerical Team to deliver the highest standards possible for patients, hospital staff and any other person their duties bring them into contact with.
The postholders will be senior members of the administrative team within Imaging and will support and guide the Imaging Clerks when scheduling appointments.

Complete responsibility for Diagnostic clinic diaries, utilising an excellent knowledge of the clinics, the duration of appointment times as directed by the clinical imaging team.
Support colleagues and Imaging Clerks in the handling of complex bookings, and potentially complaints and PALS queries, in relation to imaging.
Register new tertiary referrals for imaging onto local systems within 24 working hours of receipt ensuring Referral to Treatment pathways are started / continued appropriately.
Undertake analysis of waiting list information to ensure appropriate scheduling of patients and clinics in the correct order and undertake data quality reviews and action as appropriate.
Organise interpreters where necessary, for patient appointment and maintain records of such bookings for future reference.
Maintain and update the imaging waiting lists when clinically reviewed. Prioritise urgent patients and ensure government targets for routine patients are being met. Highlight immediately any conflicts that might mean patient waiting time targets could be breached.
Be aware of, and adapt to, any changes in trust policy and general operating systems.
Flag up the need for cover when annual leave is booked or cancel clinics accordingly.
Provide clinicians with patient details for those who do not attend or repeatedly cancel for a clinical review to be undertaken with a view to discharge.
