**Digital Specialist**

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Digital Specialist supports projects and programs as directed by their manager and account leads, focused on digital content development, content and community management across various digital channels. Typically, the Digital Specialist:
Supports 1-2 client/project teams
- Typically has 0-2 years' relevant experience
- Manages assigned projects with regular supervision
- Reports to the Senior Digital Manager or Director

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Client Partnership**
- Conducts research as needed to support client initiatives and recommendations
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of content options, client nuances and ensures content developed is within brand and digital platform guidelines and capabilities
- Supports client website development and content as directed by members of the team
- May handle coordination of client status meetings, including proactive development of agendas and next steps
- Supports development of client deliverables as directed by members of the team
- Manages administrative tasks and logístical support needs as determined by client project/program
- Acts as digital liaison to account teams and in support of client projects as appropriate
- Establishes relationships with clients at appropriate levels

**Business Development & Operations**
- Participates in new business brainstorms and conducts research for new business projects
- Proactively seeks opportunities to better understand industry/client space
- Takes the initiative in seeking training on company processes/procedures
- Understands agency operations and administrative procedures
- Shows a basic understanding of digital tools, e.g., content management systems like WordPress, creative tools like Canva, as well as web-based research tools, i.e., Netbase
- Savvy with general functionality and utility of major social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest and LinkedIn

**Leadership & Teamwork**
- Demonstrates flexibility in working across teams, able to adapt to project needs, different team working styles, etc
- Encourages and responds to feedback from manager and team members
- Manages small research projects with manager direction and develops concise reports to share findings with the team
- Shows poise and professionalism when interacting with teammates and vendors, and able to follow established internal processes
- Participates in and actively contributes to internal meetings
- Proactively offers support to team members
- Actively supports company values and an inclusive culture
- Demonstrates a sense of ownership and accountability for all project

**Effective Communication**
- Ensures accuracy of all written projects, including grammar, fact-checking and referencing documents as needed
- Skilled in copywriting and aligning content with overarching digital strategy and brand/campaign voice
- Asks questions and knows when to involve manager

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, marketing, digital, business or health/science-related field or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years' communications experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects on time and with detail
- General understanding of digital platforms
- Works collaboratively as part of a team
- Innovative thinker and creative problem solver
- Shows an entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong attention to detail
- Possesses strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Able to develop project management skills
