As a Technical Assistant, you will provide Technical Assistance to the engineering team, supporting the delivery of Screw Compressor product solutions and supporting Engineering Continuous Improvement activities helping to ensure that initiatives are driven to completion and new processes are embedded. You will also engage with the wider team including Projects, Technical Sales, Operations & Aftermarket to help ensure that engineering deliverables are completed within schedule requirements.
What Needs To Be Done?
- At project initiation, support Engineering Team with workload planning including design and procurement deliverables.
- Management and control of engineering documentation activities associated with Screw Project execution to ensure contractual compliance
- Assist team members in the creation of Parts and BOMs using company ERP system
- Assistance on PLM system for creation of Purchase Requisitions and other relevant Project Documentation.
- Liaise with Engineering team to co-ordinate various activity trackers for each project to provide visibility of project status for issue to all departments.
- Liaise with Project Management, Technical Sales and Aftermarket team to co-ordinate any support requirements.
- Assist in the resolution of issues by liaison with engineering team, project managers, suppliers and internal departments to seek fact-based solutions.
- Support continuous improvement activity to ensure efficient coordination of projects.
- Provide general administration support across the Engineering team to include booking of travel, training, time sheets and team holiday calendar etc.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in compliance with company policy to ensure safe working environment.
