**Desktop Support Engineer**

**London, EC3V 9BS**

**Full time, Permanent**

**40 hours over a shift pattern; Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 6:00pm**

**£27k basic with two bonuses paid monthly, taking salary up to £31k + benefits.**

Labyrinth's goal is to make IT support available and affordable to all businesses in London, giving them access to a first-class IT service. For 20 years, we have provided proactive, efficient and honest IT support in London to companies of all sizes invarious sectors.

We need a new Desktop Support Engineer to join our busy helpdesk team in our City of London office, supporting a range of clients from a variety of sectors including law and finance.

You will be a self-starter who is motivated, detail oriented and has strong communication skills.

**As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be**:

- Taking support queue calls and logging/updating service tickets
- Providing remote and on-site support to our clients
- Carrying out routine maintenance on client systems as required
- Assisting in the setup of new users and computers for clients
- Participating in different projects
- Providing a high standard of customer service to all clients
- Ensuring ticket response and resolution SLAs are met
- Ensuring relevant client documentation is updated when changes are made
- Maintaining a good understanding of our core managed service offerings

**About the role**

**The idealDesktop Support Engineer**:

- You **must** have 1 year + work experience in an IT support role using Microsoft 365 (admin tenant), Windows 10 and Microsoft Office
- Have a basic understanding of networking
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be detail-oriented and organised
- Have a high-level pass in GCSE Maths and English Language (or relevant international equivalent)

Any relevant industry or vendor qualifications (for example CompTIA Network + or Microsoft certifications) are highly advantageous but not mandatory.

This is a customer facing role, so Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential, as are demonstrable attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
