Accounts Assistant Leiths School of Food and Wine is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their busy Finance team. Full training will be given and no prior experience is required.

Good communication skills (oral and written) are important; this role will involve liaising with staff throughout the business as well as external communication with customers and suppliers.

**Course Revenue**
- Download data from Bookings Live
- Reconcile bookings and receipts
- Post corrections in Sage
- Fees In Advance reconciliations
- Fees Variance schedule

**Purchase Ledger**
- Post invoices
- Pay suppliers
- Deal with supplier queries

**Cash Book**
- Post all receipts and payments in Sage
- Reconcile Sage cash book to bank statement
- Bank analysis schedule

**Vouchers**
- Analyse voucher account monthly
- Follow up any queries with Finance Manager and post any corrections
- **Journals (prepare and post)**
- Fees In Advance
- Stock
- Petty Cash
- Other
- Credit Control

**Analyse Aged Debtors monthly**
- Chase outstanding debtors weekly (in accordance with company procedure)
- Weekly update meeting with Finance Manager

**Petty cash**
- Ensure that all floats are maintained at the required working level
- Reconcile monthly and at other times as required

**Stock**
- Discuss any differences with Finance Manager
- Post agreed corrections in Sage / amend stock records

**Reconciliation and Analysis (as required)**

**Bookings support**
- Take overflow bookings calls
- Cover for Bookings Assistant as required(including lunch breaks)

**Credit card Reconciliation
Ad hoc projects
To be responsible for keeping training and DBS check up to date (to include H&S, Food Hygiene, Allergies, PREVENT, First Aid, Child Protection and any other training as required by H.R)
To act in the interests of Leiths School of Food and Wine as a business. To avoid waste, to highlight areas for improvement or savings and at all times to act professionally and to abide by the relevant company and legal policies (i.e. Health & Safety).
