Job description:
Your key responsibilities as the HR Service Desk Team Leader will consist of:
Key Accountabilities:

- Responsible for the delivery of a range of HR services via the HR Service Desk.
- Coach & develop HR Service Desk Team to ensure the consistent delivery of best practice, high-quality HR advice across the business.
- Drive continuous improvement & innovation within the HR function, challenging the status quo & ensuring we evolve to become industry-leading in our approach to people.
- Coach, develop & upskill Line Managers & Operators to ensure that they are confident and competent to handle day-to-day employee relations activity on site (i.e. disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance etc.).
- Provide face to face, over the phone and written employee relations advice to line Managers and colleagues across the business, following a best practice approach.
- Ensuring that the HR Service Desk is adequately covered from 8:30am-16:30pm, Monday - Friday, including the lunch time period.
- Responsible for supporting the HR Coordinators with complex employee relations, where escalated.
- Ensure that any employee relations cases which may be considered a risk to their designated client groups are escalated to the appropriate HR Business Partners in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with other teams, including but not limited to the Learning & Development Team, Talent & Resourcing Team, Payroll Team and our Benefits Advisor to achieve our collective People Vision & UK HR Strategy.
- Actively support the organisation to meet the needs of its employees.
- Contribute to the strategic objectives of the HR Function by participating in cross-functional project work.
- Provide line Managers / Operations Managers with support on ensuring DBS compliance across the business in line with Elior UK's Safeguarding Policy.
- Oversee the new starter, changes or leavers processes for Head Office colleagues and work closely with the Payroll Team Leader to ensure monthly payroll cut off deadlines are met.
- Support the HR Business Partners and HR Managers as and when required in the successful delivery of generalist employee relations advice & every aspect of the employee journey.
- Support the HR Business Partners and HR Managers in cross functional project work as and where required.
- Provide support to the HR Coordinators as and where required to ensure daily / weekly / monthly deadlines are met.
- Responsible for collating HR Data predominantly on a monthly basis, or as and when required.
- Provide face to face, over the phone and written employee relations advice to line Managers and colleagues across the business, following a best practice approach.
- Responsible for overseeing the completion of the Internal HR Report by the HR Coordinators in line with agreed deadlines.
- Support the delivery of HR training and the promotion of diversity and inclusion.

Profile description:
The experience and knowledge we are looking for from our future HR Service Desk Team Leader include:

- Background in HR is essential, ideally with management experience. CIPD qualification is desirable.
- Experience of handling a range of general ER issues.
- The ability to adapt your style to engage with your audience, setting the bar high with excellent customer service.
- Excellent communicator with ability to solve problems, communicate with & influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to work with complex / detailed information with an excellent eye for detail.
- Highly organised with excellent, demonstrable Microsoft Office skills.
- A team player with a flexible approach to work and job variety.
- Warm, friendly and genuine.
