**Business Development Manager -Passive Fire Protection**
Job Title: National Business Development Manager - Passive Fire Protection
Industry Sector: Industrial, Construction, Fire Curtains, Domestic Fire Curtains, Smoke Curtain, Fire Control, Smoke Control, Fire Doors, Fire Prevention, Procurement Directors, Heads of Estates, Main Contractors, Universities, Student Accommodation, Hotelsetc.
Location: National
Remuneration: £90,000 neg. + up to 20% Company Profit related Bonus
Benefits: £500-£600 Car allowance or Hybrid BMW & Comprehensive benefits
The role of the National Business Development Manager - Passive Fire Protection will involve:
- Field sales role promoting various passive fire stopping solutions; fire doors, fire & smoke curtains, fire & acoustic penetration seals, façade fire & acoustics cavity barriers
- Majority of time selling direct into Procurement Directors and Heads of Estates (anyone responsible for the safety of a building)
- Typical projects include; universities, student accommodation, hotels etc.
- Small amount of time managing relationships with main contractors
- Predominantly new business development (small amount of time managing some existing projects)
- Tasked with £2m revenue target
- Projects from £10,000 up to £900,000, typically £200,000-£350,000
- Understanding current fire legislation and standards
- Generating business through a mixture of cold calling, site visits, networking and pre-arranged appointments
- Working as a key member of the management team and be proactive in driving the business forward
- Analyzing existing and potential markets for new opportunities and competitive positioning and strategies
The ideal applicant will be a National Business Development Manager - Passive Fire Protection with:
- Must understand the passive fire protection market
- Ideally with a proven field sales track record within the passive fire protection market sector
- Open to active fire systems such as fire alarms, sprinklers, fire extinguishers etc.
- Consistent career history gained within the construction or building or architectural materials, and fire protection solutions sector
- Able to demonstrate developing successful commercial strategies targeting industrial constriction projects
- Energetic, motivational and action orientated
- Excellent relationship builder with new business tenacity
- Comfortable working in a small company environment
- Driven with an ability to think outside of the box
