We are on the hunt for a positive and proactive person for our Functional Skills Trainer role who will be responsible for supporting the Functional Skills Manager with the training and delivery of functional skills in English and Maths.
We are looking for a highly competent tutor with the ability to mentor others. Someone who has Significant knowledge of the Awarding Organisation requirements (Including invigilation), has the ability to identify and help learners to overcome potential barriersto progress and achieve and provide proficient competence around MS Office packages (including MS Word & Excel).

**If you’re interested in applying, we’re looking for someone who has**:
- Knowledge and competence around the new apprenticeship standards and EPA processes.
- Knowledge of progression routes to both HE and employment.
- Experience in the delivery of Apprenticeships e.g. Trainer/Assessor/Manager.
Ø Knowledge of equality and diversity.
- Knowledge of remote and e-learning delivery
- Knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.
- At least a PTLLS Qualification or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Level 3 Qualified in Functional Skills English and Maths or equivalent qualification
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Teaching remotely, face to face and group workshops.
- Working with students to design a tailored Functional Skills learning plan to suit their individual needs.
- Carrying out skills assessments.
- Preparing innovative teaching materials, using teaching resources, worksheets and IT to get the best out of learners.
- Working with support staff to ensure learning objectives are met.
- Carrying out marking, administrative tasks and keeping accurate records.
- Providing welfare-based support.
- Collating and sending Functional Skills reports to the Functional Skills Manager.
- Managing a caseload of learners around Functional Skills and working closely with their dedicated Skills Coaches.
- Working closely with Training Managers to support the embedding of Functional Skills throughout vocational training.
- Supporting the Quality Manager and Functional Skills Manager around the Functional Skills strategy.
