**About the role
- Autism Teaching Assistant**

You will be working predominantly with students with Autism in this incredible mixed school with a specialist resource base onnsite for SEN based in Chase side, Enfield Students in the school are grouped by ability rather than age so classes may be madeup of students across year groups. Class sizes are small with approximately 8 students to a class, ably supported by a class teacher and at least 3 support staff. You will assist students in lesson, encourage social interaction and help students who are inneed of it with personal care and feeding.

**About the school**

This is a purpose build school for students aged 3-16 years old with a resource base for primary and secondary students with an EHCP statement of Autism. A large majority of the students in the school are high functioning and able to engage in independentstudy, however there are some classes with students with moderate learning difficulties who require more support. The school is a warm and welcoming environment and a favourite of everyone who works there. They are well equipped with sensory rooms, occupationaltherapy rooms, a large playground and vegetable garden that the students grow things in. The school is centred around play based learning and encourages all students to achieve their best at all times. Due to the needs of the students only full-time applicantswill be considered.

The school is accessible by several local bus routes, London Underground routes as well as having parking onsite.
