**Teaching Assistants with SEND Specialism Required for April**

Sanza is looking for teaching assistants with special educational needs specialisms, to join a team, working with children with a range of SEND in a Amazing school in Enfield.

You will be required to work under the direction of the class teacher and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator to assist pupils with learning and physical or behavioural difficulties.

Your duties will include:

- supporting pupils learning, physical, social and emotional welfare
- supporting the delivery of curriculum sessions under the supervision of the SENDCo or class teacher
- preparing learning materials
- creating and maintaining the teaching and learning environment
- delivering a range of specialist interventions to pupils with specific needs (training provided), particularly autism and speech and language.
- supporting behaviour and inclusion in the classroom and at lunchtime; working inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups
- assisting with pupils' physical needs, including assisting with appropriate therapy and/or physiotherapy sessions and intimate care routines (including toileting, changing and feeding)
- helping pupils to increase their confidence, self-esteem and independence
- keeping records and attending reviews/ meetings

Are you:

- passionate about the life chances of pupils with special needs
- friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills
- knowledgeable about working with children with special needs, including medical needs and disabilities
- skilled in leading small group interventions and delivering structured curriculum sessions
- familiar with strategies used to support learning for children with autism or speech and language delay
- able to work within a team and support others
- willing to train in different communication and interaction techniques
- able to motivate and inspire.
