**Contract**:Permanent & full time - Rotating shifts from Monday to Sunday.

**Salary**:£25,000 - depending on experience

**About the Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Access Officer in our Urgent Care Centre. As a Patient Access Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality service to patients.

Your duties as a Patient Access Officer will include providing a comprehensive range of administrative services to patients, consultants and other third
parties that will assist in promoting the successful management of all aspects needed to facilitate a seamless patient pathway and Patient Access Service.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Maintaining accurate and up to date information on the hospital database during the patient journey
- Formally pre-registering all patients and guarantee 100% accuracy when requesting and transferring information to HCA databases
- Ensuring that all administrative functions are carried out to the highest standard
- Ensuring that all patients meet the HCA criteria to enable successful and full financial settlement, whether Sponsored or Self-funded
- Seeking assistance from Senior Patient Access Officers/Patient Access Leaders with any complex queries
- Keeping up to date with current policies and standard operating procedures
- Ensuring all correspondence is received and scanned onto accounts under the correct Meditech Form inclusive of letters of guarantee, booking forms, clinic letters, medical reports, consultant fees and pre-authorisation
- Responding to telephone, written and face to face queries
- Keeping all parties fully informed of any deviation to the patient journey
- Responding promptly to any patient/third party requests
- Adhering to a flexible work pattern often at short notice and be prepared to cover other HCA facility bookings inbox

**Ideally we are looking for someone with**:

- Previous Administrative experience is essential, ideally private
- Computer literacy
- Good general level of education
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills
