Client Service Advisor

It is a fantastic time to be joining Animal Trust as we continue to expand our services. We have an exciting opportunity to join our existing Client Services Team at our Birkenhead surgery. Working alongside a dedicated nursing team, you will deliver excellent customer service and provide a friendly, professional face for the company. Our surgeries are fast-paced and we pride ourselves on efficiency.

Common Duties Include
- Welcoming clients and their pets for appointments and maintaining a compassionate and professional attitude at all times
- Answering telephone calls/queries from clients
- Handling medication prepared by the veterinary surgeon and handing to clients
- Working within a team (and at times alone) to ensure the surgery’s reception, waiting area and consultation rooms are maintained to a high standard of clinical cleanliness
- Dealing with stressed or upset clients and connecting them to the appropriate teams where required
- Taking payments, registering new clients and addressing client concerns
- Organisation and restocking of the practice where required
- Complying with all health and safety procedures
- Complying with data protection legislation to ensure client and patient confidentiality is maintained at all times

- Enthusiastic and motivated to provide a high level of customer service, while taking on a confident attitude
- Strong organisation skills, open, honest and trustworthy
- Pleasant manner, compassionate towards clients and pets
- Strong communicator and able to confidently communicate with clients and staff of all levels (Vet Nurses, Vets and Directors)
- IT Literature and a fast learner
- Takes direction and can work from own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- Experience of a client/customer facing role in a fast paced environment essential

Desirables
- Previous experience of working in a veterinary or clinical environment

Job particulars
- Days/Hours per week: 35 hours per week on a rota basis including mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Holidays (Including bank holidays): 6 Weeks Per Annum
- Sickness protection benefit awarded after 12 months of service
