**Your role**

Our Restaurants, Bars, Clubs and Rooftop terraces are legendary and The Standard is synonymous world wide as shining beacon for Nightlife. As our **Assistant F&B Director** you will work closely with our Director of F&B to support and lead the F&B division and team of over 200 employees.

With 6 expansive F&B outlets at The Standard, plus Event spaces and 24 hour In Room Dining, you can imagine this is an incredibly hands on role in which you will need to be able to turn your hand to anything. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation, ensuring that staffing levels are sufficient, our service standards are maintained and our guests are hosted in true Standard style. Supporting you across the operation are a team of Senior F&B leaders, Restaurant GMs and Floor Managers who are responsible for the delivery and management of our F&B offering, but you must be prepared to step in and support during busy periods.

You will also work closely with our Culture and nightlife team who coordinate a range events and programming across the hotel with regular events and entertainment taking place; including DJs, live music, speakers and other social events to ensure that the execution of these events is seamless to help create an ultimate late-night destination in London, that is anything but Standard with this in mind it is critical that you have a solid understanding of a nightlife operation.

As a senior member of the team there are a number of additional management duties you will oversee including staff recruitment, training, scheduling, payroll and implementing Health & Safety policies and practices across the division. You will also play an active role in financials, so you will need to be commercially astute, have a solid understanding of managing and controlling costs; and know your way around a P&L in order to report back on monthly basis to our owners and corporate office in New York.

**Do you have what it takes to be our Assistant F&B Director at The Standard, London**

This role requires dedication and stamina and previous experience in a similar senior F&B or Operations Management role is essential. You will need to have a serious passion for Food & Drink, be highly social, upbeat and friendly, confident and able to handle pressure well. Your solid technical understanding across all aspects of Food & Beverage operations will support our Outlet Managers with the delivery relevant and effective training delivery and you will thrive in a high-volume, high energy environment and be able to work equally well both independently and as part of a team.
In addition to this you will also need.
- A **minimum of 5 years prior experience** at a senior/mid-level role, ideally as an** F&B Manager / F&B Operations Manager** in a similar multi-outlet hotel or Restaurant GM where you have managed a large team.
- Have a solid understanding of F&B Operations combined with Commercial understanding
- Strong training, coaching skills and mentoring skills
- Hold qualifications such as WSET, Food Hygiene Level 3
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication/presentation skills
