**Business Development Manager required.**

Our client is a worldwide company offering explosion protection solutions for the materials handling and oil and gas industries including fully engineered conversions, EX-proof products and EX components. For over 50 years, they have been at the forefrontof our industry developing solutions to help us achieve our one clear purpose of keeping people safe in hazardous areas.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with solid business development credentials and commercial experience to unlock and develop growth potential within target segments including organic business development and growth through acquisition paths.

**Business Development Manager - Position Overview**
- Identify and develop new customers within the target segments through lead generation tactics and liaising with customers/clients face to face, Zoom, TEAMS, telephone etc.
- Interpreting the needs/problems of your customers and responding effectively with a solution.
- Developing a solid understanding of the businesses' products, services, and value proposition.
- Identifying competition and their USPs and reporting findings with counter proposals
- Forming relationships with relevant service providers and associates for ongoing bid opportunities.
- Working closely with the Engineering, operations managers, and 3rd party service providers to produce technically and commercially compliant bids to a very high quality.
- Nurturing customer relationship from initial enquiry through to delivery to stimulate repeat business.
- Discussing and directing promotional strategy and activities with sales managers, the Managing Director and marketing agency.
- Attending seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate.
- Identifying acquisition targets, report and present on their market position, synergies, and suitability for acquisition consideration.
- Supporting the development of the strategic plan with a rolling 3 year forward projection of sales and growth steps.
- Complying with all Company policies, procedures and work instructions including health and safety.
- Complying with and promoting the Company’s values and leadership competencies.
- Carrying out other reasonable duties requested by management.??????

**Business Development Manager - Position Requirements**
- Proven commercial experience in a similar role and industry ideally with client base knowledge.
- Experience of hazardous area selling, specification, audit, inspection, installation, or consultancy in: Pharma, Steel / Grain / Powders / Pellets, Food and Flavours, Oil and Gas / Petrochem / Refinery
- Proficient understanding of Ex certification protocols.
- Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and TEAMs.
- Excellent communication skills through writing, oral and presentation.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Resilient, self-motivated target driven individual.
- Business Management or relevant Further Education qualification.
- HNC/HND education level in Electrical Engineering or similar background experience (Desirable)
- Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
- Must Have knowledge of Explosion protection standards and systems - ATEX and IECEx / EN 60079 standards.
- Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development.

**Business Development Manager - Position Remuneration**
- Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (Dependant on experience)
- Company Car & Generous Commission Scheme
- Pension
- Monday - Friday
