We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to manage a visitor programme of seasonal events from creation to completion.This role requires good working relationships within a team and ambition, innovation, and the ability to plan work andsupervise staff and volunteers.

Shift patterns include some weekend/bank holiday work and require some duty management. This 12-month opportunity is perfect for anyone wanting to develop their experience within Heritage and Tourism.

What it's like to work here Being part of the great delivery team at Penrhyn, you’ll work alongside the Visitor Operations & Experience Manager and the Marketing & Communications Officer.You’ll also work with our welcome team of staff and volunteers to tellstories, engage visitors in our conservation and community work.

Penrhyn Castle is a Victorian house disguised as a huge neo-Norman castle, with a varied programme of events that bring this unique property to life inside the castle and in the outdoors in our stunning 60 acre grounds.Its history is staged upon slavery,slate, splendour, and strikes and we are proud to continue telling these stories with our local communities.

What you'll be doing As a Visitor Experience Officer, you’ll be responsible for managing our programme of events.such as spring, Easter, summer, autumn, and winter from concept to completion. Planning, delivering effective interpretation, creating engagingprogrammes and evaluating them will be key.Working alongside the team you will manage staff and volunteers to develop engaging and meaningful interpretation that can help us grow support for the work we do.Understanding how and why we engage our supporterswill also be important to this role.

You’ll deliver high standards of property presentation to ensure all our communications are clear and consistent for our visitors. As a champion of exceptional visitor experience, service, and good communications, you’ll join a passionate team and be involvedin the duty management rota supporting the visitor operation.
