We are looking for experienced Children's Residential Support Worker/Carer to join our team who have a passion for providing a high standard of support that enables young people to learn and develop through education and positive life experiences.

**Position: Children’s Residential Support Worker/Carer**

**Location**: Bolton (BL4 postcode area)

**Hours**:Full-time (40 hours per week)

**Shifts cover**:7:30am - 2:30pm (early), 2:00pm - 10:00pm (late) & 2:00pm - 11:00pm (sleeps ins)

**Salary**: £12.45 per hour for staff who hold Level 3 diploma, £12.00 per hour for applicants who do not hold the qualification.

**WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP.**

**About our service**

We are a large detached home that can support up to 5 children and young people who have experienced trauma, may have mental health issues and/or have a learning disability. The home has a lot of outside space for the children and young people to take advantage of. We enjoy spending time in the garden playing outdoor sports and relaxing in the summer months.

To be successful in the role of Children’s Residential Support Worker/Carer, you will need:

- **A minimum of a years related experience in a children’s residential setting or early years.**:

- **Hold or be working towards a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent.**:

- **Must have a full Drivers licence and access to a vehicle based on the needs of the service.**:

- **Experience of supporting children and young people with mental health issues and/or learning disabilities**:

- **Be adaptable and flexible with excellent communication skills.**

**The role**
- You will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower our young people to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans. You will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.
- Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people supported and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
- Facilitating social, educational and play or recreational activities of their choice. Supporting them to maintain contact with families or significant others is a key priority.
- The role requires you to undertake all aspects of day to day household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.

**Experience**:

- Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (preferred)
- Driving licence (preferred)
