An opportunity has arisen within the Business Support Team of Legal & Governance Services which provides support to a range of teams, including support for Councillors, supporting the Council's committee process, legislative/statutory work, working with caseload management systems and other Team specific databases, and assisting with the processing and storage/scanning of paper files and records.
The duties of the post are diverse and you must be able to demonstrate your ability and experience in undertaking a wide range of business support tasks.
The working pattern for the post will be predominantly office based with some opportunity for both office and home working.

You will have:
Knowledge and experience of a wide range of administrative tasks and procedures.
The ability to work with people at all levels and maintain constructive working relationships/diplomacy in a politically sensitive environment.
The ability to deal directly with members of the public.
The ability to provide low level IT support to Councillors.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
The ability to maintain confidentiality.
The ability to manage workload on a daily basis.
The ability to work under pressure and to manage conflicting demands.
