The **Glasgow Marriott Hotel** is looking for an **Events & Banqueting Supervisor** to take charge of delivering high-quality meetings, conferences, and banqueting services in our newly refurbished, city-centre venue.

**What You’ll Do**

As **Events & Banqueting Supervisor**, you'll ensure the successful delivery of events - from setup to service and post-event handover - while leading a team that creates exceptional guest experiences.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of meetings, events, and banqueting functions
- Lead, train, and support the Events & Banqueting team to deliver excellent service
- Work closely with event planners and other departments to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all regulations
- Monitor departmental costs, staffing, and stock control
- Contribute to financial and operational reporting
- Maintain and update SOPs to ensure service consistency
- Champion Marriott brand standards in every guest interaction

**What We’re Looking For**
We're seeking a confident, proactive, and hands-on leader who thrives in a high-paced hospitality environment.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a supervisory role within events, conferences, or banqueting (preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel environment)

**Skills & Qualities**:

- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Calm under pressure and focused on delivering results
- Flexible team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Good level of spoken and written English is essential
