Resource Planning Manager

Unipart Logistics has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land Rover Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover's new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investment program already underway, we would like you to join us now to support our operational planning requirements. **About the Role**:
You will lead the Production Control function ensuring we meet all operational planning requirements from forecasting through to resource and workload planning and data analytics.

**As part of your key responsibilities you'll**:

- Identify and develop key relationships across the business ensuring that all forecasts and resources proposals are deployed with maximum insight, and appropriate actions are taken to minimise risks to target service levels and/or budget
- Lead a team of Production Control Team Leaders and Production Control Administrators, coaching them in forecasting, resource and workload planning, and business intelligence
- Ensure accurate staffing levels are driven through the forecasting process to meet the established demand and hit business KPI's
- Support governance and oversight to resource plans, ensuring they address risks and opportunities
- Work closely with the HR function and Agency provider to ensure resource plans are met
- Ensure appropriate action plans are in place to allow continuous improvement opportunities to improve SLA's / reduce costs and provide increased flexibility
- Support regular meetings, including Operations, Business Improvement, Procurement, HR and other influencers of resource plans
- Coach others both within the operational planning team and in your stakeholder group, developing their understanding of the planning practices, methods, system(s) and tools to support the evolution of best practice and raising the bar in our delivery of our planning service
- Continually review staffing against plans and work to improve and deliver efficiencies to plan while not impacting client relationship with the business

**About You**:

- Resource and Workload Planning experience essential - your planning, organising, and time management skills are top notch
- Advanced Excel skills - you are problem solver, great at data collection and analysis, with an analytical mind
- Warehouse management system experience
- People management experience - you've got experience of coaching and leading a team
- Stakeholder and supplier management experience
- Ability to engage, negotiate, and influence across departments / companies - you're a great communicator
- Commercially aware - you understand the impact of your role and take an holistic approach to decision making, considering all factors and people involved

**Salary**: £45,000 pa
**Location**: Hybrid /Appleby Magna, Coventry and Home (depending on requirements)
