Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land RoverGlobal Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover’s new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investmentprogram already underway, we would like you to join us now to be part of the core implementation team and to transition to site leadership roles in the ‘business as usual’ structure. This is a great opportunity to be a major part of the successful implementationof what is said to be the largest automotive logistics project in the UK.
Your role will cover a breadth of areas within the implementation phase and then post go-live, developing reporting and accounting processes. You will have responsibility for the financial and reporting accuracy of the BAU costs, ensuring timely client weeklyand monthly open book reporting explaining variances. You will be leading both the internal and external budgeting and planning cycles with a monthly client rolling forecast and providing financial support to the project business leaders, particularly theOperational Site Director.
**As part of your key responsibilities you’ll**:

- Develop and own the monthly Client performance packs, understanding the contractual and customer needs, ensuring that all variances to budget are documented and explained
- Work with the operational teams to develop KPI reporting and understand the impact on the Financial results
- Present monthly results both internally and to client
- Ensure weekly “quicks” reporting is developed with Operational support - variances explained
- Be responsible for all Month-end and Year-end results to ensure proper and accurate reporting for the site costs
- Ensure client invoicing is accurate and timely, fully backed by supporting documentation, in line with commercial contract obligations
- Develop accurate cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Prepare and present quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and corporate plans
- Ensure compliance with Unipart controls and policies, including cost control
- Work closely with Operational and Customer service Managers and HR Business Partners to manage large scale recruitment and TUPE transfer
- Identify and communicate risks and opportunities within the project
- Look for, and implement, opportunities to increase profitability
- Ensure robust and efficient controls and processes are implemented in the day to day BAU contract

**About You**
- You’ll be a qualified Accountant with management accounting experience of working in an open book cost plus environment, preferably within a fast paced logistics environment.
- A strong planner and organiser your time management skills will help you to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- You’ll have solid Excel skills (incl. PivotTables & VLookups) and any knowledge or experience with warehouse management systems would be an advantage
- An excellent communicator, you will be able to build strong relationships and will have the ability to influence where needed
- You’re flexible and committed to achieving team/site objectives, with the ability to work to targets and timescales
- With people management experience, you’ll have great leadership skills in order to support and develop your team
- Analytical, with good attention to detail, you’ll also be adaptable and able to react quickly and effectively to changes and requests

**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full Time, 40 hours per week
**Salary**: £58,000 plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme
