**Job description**:

- Our energy system is changing fundamentally. We need to bring forward the renewables and other innovative technologies that mean we can hit Net Zero, but do so without compromising security of supply, and without unnecessary impacts on already hard-pressed energy bills. The decisions we make now about how the system is designed will have huge implications into the future.
- To support these fundamental changes, we are creating a new independent “Future System Operator” (FSO) to help advise on and manage the needs of the system.
- This role, whilst based in the Policy team will take a lead role on workstreams that support the FSO to create a compelling Employee Proposition which puts talent retention and attraction at the heart of that. - As part of the wider workstream lead team the role holder will contribute by utilising their knowledge of HR - specifically regarding people and change programmes. Being able to spot gaps in the Employee Proposition whilst advising and providing guidance to both BEIS and the FSO will be an important part of the position.

Understanding how policy can influence decision making and being able to provide pragmatic solutions will be essential to achieving the right outcomes for employees and the future hiring strategy. Having a genuine interest in the energy space would be advantageous to developing sustainable and credible relationships
- This role will have a dotted line to the central BEIS HR Function to provide you with a joined-up community of practice around HR and people related programmes, ensuring that workstreams are aligned with HR functional standards.**Responsibilities**:
