Fit Testing Co-ordinator

Coordinate the Trusts fit testing arrangements as well as prioritising wards / directorates as required. Accurately record outcomes for fit testing which may include paper, records, spreadsheets and databases i.e ESR. Maintain all equipment (including laptop) used for fit testing in a manner which protects the integrity and function. Ensure sufficient stock level of testing equipment to continue fit testing staff trust wide.
Book appointment times for staff using the electronic fit testing booking system and also by phone. Responsible for fit testing staff to ensure that respirators (reusable and single use) are using both the qualitative and quantitative fit testing method. Carry out general administrative duties such as data input, scanning and photocopying. Keep fit testing room tidy and clutter free.
Regular checking of hepa filters as per HSE requirements of hood and other re-usable respirators. Flag fit testing DNAs to infection control team on a weekly basis. Make alternative arrangements for staff that may inadvertently turn up for fit testing on the wrong site, date or time before sending them away if unable to accommodate them. Advice To provide training on how to use FFP3 mask, hoods and any other respirators used the Trust safely.
To ensure compliance in accordance to the Trust guidelines on the correct handling and storage of PPE. Communication and Liaison The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills to provide a professional, reliable and consistent service. To develop and maintain relationships with staff from all areas to monitor and deliver the fit programme. The post holder will require excellent organisation skills for administration and record keeping.
Identify own learning and development relevant to the Fit testing job role. Staffs are reminded of their responsibility to take care of their own personal safety and others whilst at work. To be open, honest, and willing to acknowledge when something has gone wrong, Make timely apologies and take action to report incidents, to ensure that as a team we learn.
