**Purchasing Manager - Guildford - Permanent - Negotiable Salary £££** ARM are supporting a world leading Automotive design company with the recruitment of a Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing a strategic procurement team to deliver best practice and process results within the function of Purchasing and Supply Chain **Purpose of role**: To develop and implement a department strategy in line with the overall company direction. This is to be done through strategic supplier selection, supplier resourcing, cost down, total cost optimisation and supplier development through quality, process anddelivery improvements. The secondary purpose is to motivate and develop direct reports to achieve best practice in terms of supply chain management whilst influencing the wider business in support of Company Key objectives. **Additional Information**: This position will report directly to the Director of procurement and will have a number of direct reports. Crucial to the success of this role is the development and implementation of procurement commodity strategies that effectively use the resources available and form part of the overall department and company strategies. You will also be responsible for setting SMART objectives to the team with quarterly reviews as well as providing weekly reports and KPI's **Requirements**: - Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with CIPS qualification - Extensive Procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
