**Overview of role**

We have a great opportunity as a Resources and Deployment Co-ordinator to manage the planning and optimisation of protection and possession resources to deliver London Underground’s projects.

The role requires a level of technical, planning and resource deployment knowledge, including an in-depth knowledge of London Underground’s Access booking processes and systems. You will provide real time solutions in order to mitigate risk to valuable engineering access.

This role will require unsocial working up to 25% including some working at the weekends.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Being accountable for the allocation of protection and possession resources to engineering work and possessions. Work in collaboration with internal and external suppliers of protection services to ensure full coverage in the provision of protection and possession resources
- Being accountable for matching technical requirements to the right resource, ensuring the correct licences are in place to undertake safety critical duties on a worksite
- Manage the daily rolling forecast of booked works
- Matching and booking critical resources on a daily basis against the agreed plan
- Booking all access and protection resource for track minor closures and possessions through the LU Protection Booking desk and resolving any related issues
- Monitoring and reporting on the continuity of supply by Protection Resource Suppliers for priority works
- Importing staff bookings from Protection Resource Mailbox into the Operations Group Information Management System daily
- Attending Access Planning meetings to maintain knowledge and develop understanding of planned works
- Developing the use of new protection efficiencies throughout LU’s infrastructure to deliver economies by ensuring protection resources are utilised efficiently
- Ensuring the timely production of relevant shift documentation and briefing documentation in line with the relevant processes and procedures
- Running daily downloads to update Operations Group Management System with operative certification and attendance information

- Hold, or have held in the past, minimum of PWT-EH certification (Essential)

**Knowledge**
- An understanding of LU organisational and engineering structure/departments (Desirable)
- Geographical knowledge of LU network (Desirable)
- Excellent knowledge of railway asset access procedures and the industry standard system (Railsys, SABRE etc) (Essential)
- Excellent knowledge of LU Rule Book procedures relating to protecting workers on the track in Traffic and Engineering Hours (Essential)

**Experience**
- Experience documenting procedures and processes (Essential)
- Experience of operating and managing computer databases (Essential)
- Experience in scheduling/ planning techniques (Desirable)
- Experience of working in the track environment, including within possessions and Specified Areas (Desirable)
