Avid personnel are please to be on the look out for an experianced Sales Manager to work for our client in the Ellesmere port area specialising in the transport and logistics sector.
The Job:
- To manage your own workload to actively seek out and bring on-line new Palletways customers in line with budget expectations
- To rapidly grow our customer base in geographical areas where we are under represented
- To become an expert on the Palletways product to be able to sell it most effectively
- To lead pricing negotiations as a result of IMR reviews with support from the Internal Account Manager
- To build a pipeline with valuable long term targets to ensure continuous growth
Your role:
- To actively canvas, on a face to face basis, potential customers in our geographical area
- Work with Operations to monitor pallet volumes to target work to fit most efficiently with available trunk space
- To present to potential clients in a knowledgeable and professional manner, develop proposals and respond to tenders
- Maintain SalesForce CRM with all relevant activity in relation to potential and existing customers to provide weekly reporting to the business on successes and opportunities
- Complete and share accurate Palletways Rate Cards with the Internal Account Manager for input into the Portal
- Understand the market in our geographical area and identify key target customers to onboard
- Successfully manage the end-to-end sales process
- Complete the administration to successfully onboard new customers and handover the account management to our IAM
- Promote and be an ambassador for the Palletways brands
- To have input into the creation of the annual budget in relation to customer volume and price forecasts
- To comply with all Health & Safety requirements at all times
- To report all near misses and accidents to the Logistics General Manager as soon as possible and to assist in any following investigations.
Days: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8am-5pm
Based: Ellesmere port (may be required to travel to/work from other sites on occasions.)
