**The role**:
This is a new and exciting role brought about by increasing sales and service expansion. We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant, preferably with knowledge of working in an engineering or manufacturing environment, with a broad scope of financeskills.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Maintain and update the status of account receivables and payables
- Complete credit control for high value international accounts showing an appreciation of currency differences and language barriers
- Raise stage invoices for high value machine sales
- Complete cash book and VAT reconciliation
- Support with audit compliance
- Support Payroll Manager with payroll processing (training provided)
- Provide support to fellow colleagues with month and year end processing and general finance tasks.

**The Person**:

- Must have minimum 4 years previous experience of working in a busy finance department with exposure to managing international account receivables / payables, credit control, monitoring customer trading terms and raising high value invoices.
- Possess accounting qualification(s) or experience equivalent
- Good knowledge of accounting procedures and standards (experience of working with an MRP or ERP system a strong advantage)
- Excellent math skills and use of Excel
- Methodical and organised and a strong team player
