Sales Ledger/accounts Assistant

A great opportunity has arisen to join our small accounts team in Rochdale covering all aspects of Sales & Purchase Ledger along with other aspects of a busy accounts office.

- **Sales Ledger/Accounts Assistant**_
1. End to end Credit Control process with timely & effective collection of outstanding debts as part of a small finance department.
2. Taking ownership of part of the Sales Ledger & proactively working to a monthly target.
3. Query resolution, liaising with both internal & external customers.
4. Accurate posting & allocation of payment on a daily basis.
5. New account opening procedure, credit references, risk assesment, accurate recording of data.
6. Account reconciliation where required.
7. Generation of daily invoices and monthly statements.
8. Taking & processing credit card payments over the phone.
9. Managing orders held/stop list in a timely manner.
10. Generation of overdue letters to customers
11. Escalation of overdue debt to solicitors and ongoing liaison with them during the process.
12. Generation of monthly sales journals & inputting of purchase invoices and journals.
13. Monthly generation of sales reports.
14. Other duties including assisting the Financial Director, payroll, Sales Ledger and Reception cover where required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
