Page Personnel are currently supporting a Global Manufacturer to recruit a Assistant Cost Accountant to join their Finance team in Middleton. **Client Details** Our client is a International FMCG business based in Middleton. Seeking a Assistant Cost Accountant to join their Finance team. **Description** Responsible for providing information used to make decisions that protect the profitably and grow net sales of products manufactured out of the Middleton site. - Ensure all quotes are completed within agreed SLAs - Liaise with Pricing to clarify new quote requests as required - Ensure all new quote requests are costed to Sites / lines with available capacity and any Capex requirements have been identified - Liaise with Site, R&D, Logistics etc. to obtain "new" costing rates, assumptions, etc. - Calculate and provide product cost information for new quote requests for Pricing providing analysis of key variances versus benchmark costs - Challenge the product cost and assumptions in order to achieve an accurate cost and to prevent complexity from entering the factory without a full understanding of any cost implications - Ensure the procurement team are aware of any increased volume which could affect raw material pricing to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date costs are reflected in the tender. - Create and maintain costing template and P&L in-line with commercial finance requirements - Liaise with Supply Chain to clarify new SAP product information as required - Create, check, mark and release new SAP standard costs for Supply Chain - Complete post tender reviews confirming any variance between new SAP standard costs vs. new quote request costing and key drivers for any difference - Assist with costing runs, budgets and forecasts as required - Transfer pricing - Provides other ad-hoc analysis and support as required - Weekly O/H Reporting for the site team - Stock reporting - Process set up of CAPEX orders - Monthly labour reporting - Provides support to the Middleton Site Finance Business Partner at Month End - Provides other ad-hoc analysis and support as required to Site. **Profile** - Degree level or equivalent in business or numerical discipline - Committed to further study for the CIMA qualification or equivalent - Experience of manufacturing finance within an FMCG environment preferred - High level knowledge of Excel and SAP - Strong interest in manufacturing processes and products - Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail - Able to prioritise and organise own work effectively **Job Offer** - £30K salary - onsite parking - pension scheme - lots of progression opportunities
