To effectively plan and maintain inventory levels, liaise with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered as required, and will be responsible for the overall communicating with stakeholders to ensure effective plan delivery whilst cost controls are maintained and improved.

**What you'll be doing**
As a **Materials Controller**, you will have the following accountabilities:

- To ensure that the company’s business processes are followed in carrying out activities throughout the life span of the relevant manufacturing processes
- Initiate negotiations with suppliers in order to obtain best cost and lead time offerings
- Issue order to suppliers and ensure inbound materials are scheduled to meet production demand
- Establish new suppliers as required
- Manage supplier performance in respect to Cost, Quality & Service
- Goods in receiving, ensuring any purchase order/physical delivery anomalies are highlighted and resolved
- Ensure the stock control system is managed, kept accurate with up to date information and reported along with visual management control in order to eliminate the risk of non-availability
- Stock Discrepancy Analysis

You will have the following:

- Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description and material demand
- Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions with mínimal support from management
- A strong pro-active and ‘can-do’ attitude
- Desire to continually learn and improve
- Capable of working under pressure to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Experience of purchasing systems (Oracle desired but training will be given)
- Driven, positive and friendly character with analytical and thinks out of the box - always encouraging continuous improvement, proactive in approach and can manage change
- Understanding of customer relationship management processes.
