We're looking for a
Quality Control Manager in Herefordshire
to lead the quality function and ensure all products meet the highest possible standards with a engineering manufacturer supplying high-performance technology to customers in the UK and overseas.

As a
Quality Control Manager you will

take ownership of all aspects of product and process quality. You'll maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), lead a small and capable team, and work closely with both suppliers and customers to ensure issues are quickly identified, resolved, and prevented.

This is a hands-on role where you'll have real influence — shaping processes, leading audits, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

What You'll Do As A
Quality Control Manager

  • Manage and develop the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Lead and mentor a small quality team, promoting high standards and engagement
  • Plan and oversee internal and external audits
  • Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee inspection processes for materials and finished products
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain strong quality relationships
  • Support compliance with other standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001
  • Champion continuous improvement and a strong quality culture across the business

What We're Looking For In A
Quality Control Manager

  • Right to work in the UK (NATO nationality required)
  • Eligible for BPSS clearance (with potential for SC clearance)
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in quality management within electronics or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and related standards
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC, and 8D problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Hands-on experience coaching production teams in soldering or rework (advantageous)
  • Proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
  • Full UK driving licence
