Material Logistics Controller

A K Industries is an industry leading technical Injection Moulding business on the Rotherwas in Hereford.

As a Material Logistics Controller, you will be integral to managing the flow of materials from our warehouse into production, ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

You will utilise your core skills in logistics, to ensure the correct material and sundry items are prodvided to the cell to ensure smooth production run, returning any excess material and finished good to the warehouse - ensuring 100% stock accuracy.
- 38.75 hours per week
- Monday-Friday on 3 rotating shift pattern Nights/Afternoons/Mornings OR Nights/Nights/ PM OR Nights Nights AM
- 25 days hol plus 8 bank holidays

- £12.84 / hour basic with £1-£2/hour shift allowance depending on shift pattern.

**Essential Skills**:

- Attention to detail with a focus on stock accuracy, able to follow stock management processes and investigate discrepancies.
- Able to lift and move 25kg
- Good conversational and written English, able to read and take direction in English.
- Able to use a baler to compress cardboard and polysacks.
- Able to use a granulator to regrind mouldings.
- Computer literate, able to use Word, Excel and Outlook, and use ERP systems.
- Able to work rotating shifts, including night shift
- Transfer materials from stores to the relevant press locations on the Winman system, ensuring quantities and locations are accurate.
- Deliver to the press day bins the required material between the end of the last production order and the start of the next to ensure no delays.
- Decant from bag to day bin the required material quantities for each production run to the maximum capacity of the day bin or to the maximum quantity required by the manufacturing order only.
- Able to clean up spillages using the spill kits provided.
- Clean up any material spillages, and ensure that the machines and walkways are kept to a high standard of housekeeping at all times.
- When checking material levels, remove any boxes/bags of sprues; bag and label with material name if suitable for regrind, or take to the skip.
- Removal of blue box FG/WIP product from production locations and scan them to either PACKING or CONS areas.
- Ensure that we have batch traceability on materials at all time by ensuring the correct batch code is put on all paperwork, is tagged on the machine, and when a batch changes updating the material tab on the MO in WinMan.
- Regrind sprues if required, weighing bagging and labelling the material and putting it into stores in line with process.
- Ensure adherence to the blue bin procedure at all times, ensuring that boxes are carried and not kicked or dragged to avoid contamination of mouldings.
- Ensure that any boxes and polysacks are baled at the end of each and every shift.
- Undertake manufacturing relief duties as and when requested.
- Undertake a detailed handover at the start and end of every shift, ensuring that where possible material is prepped to support the oncoming shift.
- Undertake any ad hoc duties as deemed appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety practices and procedures, ensuring PPE Is used where required.
- Work to ISO 13485 processes and procedures, and have knowledge of the AKI Quality Policy.
- Support the Team with any other reasonable request as required.

Pay: £13.84-£14.84 per hour

**Experience**:
