About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the operation of Hargreaves Lansdown’s (HL’s) Savings platform. As Head of Savings Platform Operations, you will be responsible for creating and driving continuous operational improvement, managing risk, and ensuring adherence to all relevant financial rules and regulations. We are seeking an experienced financial operations professional to provide leadership and expertise to deliver an unparalleled positive experience for our clients.
**Salary**: Circa £75,000
What you’ll be doing
- Providing leadership and service delivery of HL’s Savings platform operation, owning the full design of the target operating model
- Driving continuous improvement across all key client Savings journeys
- Leading on a platform DASA (Digital/Automation/Simplification/Adoption) programme to prioritise key areas of focus and investment and deliver enhanced service for clients
- Formally appointed responsibility for overseeing PSR safeguarding
- Owning the planning, management of budget and optimisation of unit costs to ensure the maximum commercial value is derived
- Owning third-party operational relationships including regulators and trade bodies
- Joining senior committees - producing papers and MI for senior colleagues
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant rules and regulations, working with the Regulatory Advice and CASS teams to complete rules mapping and demonstrate compliance
About you
To succeed as Head of Savings Platform Operations at HL you will have:
- A proven track record of developing new financial services propositions
- Experience of leading large scale, complex operational or technology projects
- Experience of payment systems and payment technology
- Excellent knowledge and experience of working within Payment Service Regulation and E-money regulatory parameters
- Influencing skills, able to build strong relationships and comfortable in effectively managing both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of managing and leading diverse cross-functional teams
- Risk management capabilities and experience - this role will be a Material Risk Taker under SMCR
Interview process
The assessment process for this role will be three-stage, including a first stage technical interview, and a psychometric assessment followed by a final-stage presentation and interview.
Working schedule
This is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. The role will be hybrid working with approximately 2-3 days expected at our Bristol head office (BS1 5HL).
