**The Role - Head of Business Operations and Assurance
As Head of Business Operations and Assurance within Nova Systems International (NSI), you will be a key member of the Senior Management Team, reporting to the Executive General Manager of Advisory & Professional Services and Business Operations.

This role involves leading several business enablement functions, such as; QHSE, Compliance, Facilities and Continuous Improvement while providing visionary leadership and supporting a high-performance culture.

You will also be responsible for managing internal project execution and service delivery, building effective relationships, and supporting business profitability both in the UK and internationally.

**Key Responsibilities:
**Commercial Leadership**:

- Enhance NSI's profitability and revenue generation capabilities through effective enabling operations.
- Implement cost savings and efficiencies to reduce Operational Expenditure (Opex).
- Advise on capability and business investment decisions.

Deliver an annual business plan with accountability for Opex budgets.

**Functional Leadership**:

- Maintain an effective project management support function.
- Manage office facilities in alignment with NSI strategy.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and regulation, including quality, security, and health & safety.
- Oversee NSI risk management processes.

Collaborate on delivering a fit-for-purpose ICT capability supporting NSI strategy.

**Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement**:

- Develop and implement a roadmap for Excellence initiatives within NSI.
- Continuously improve organisational and operational efficiency.
- Monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Support the digitisation capability and culture by leveraging systems and technology.

**General Duties & Line Manager Responsibilities**:

- Communicate the vision, mission, and strategic priorities to the NSI business.
- Provide regular reporting to support business decision-making.
- Build and lead an effective team focused on achieving business outcomes and personal/professional goals.
- Engage in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
- Conduct quality conversations, coaching, and feedback to develop team capability.
- Champion a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace.

Monitor risks and promote diversity and gender equality.

**Essential Skills & Experience**
- Proven senior leader and manager of a multi-disciplinary team
- A pragmatic thought leader, with ability to add value in a commercial sense.
- Ability to rapidly assume responsibility for functions outside of your knowledge, skills and experience
- Experience and mindset for challenge, innovation, and Continuous Improvement
- Exceptional communication and management skills - including with projects, change and people
- A natural collaborator, with experience of working within hybrid, matrix structures

Experience in managing Opex budgets
