**Private Banking Officer**:
We have an excellent opportunity for a Private Banking Officer based in the Isle of Man office. job holder will be responsible for supporting the Corporate and Private Banking team to manage the requirements of existing and potential corporate and associated private clients. To work as part of a team to ensure the highest standards of service are maintained at all times.

**Role Specific Details**
- Assist the relationship managers for a portfolio of corporate and intermediary clients and high net worth private clients and their associated family offices and advisors.
- Assist in the servicing of existing client relationships by undertaking daily tasks including call backs, handling queries, banking, treasury and investment transactions, information requests and other account maintenance and general administration duties.
- Act as a secondary contact for clients to maintain a high level of service in relation to banking, investments, fiduciary and credit requirements.
- Support client meetings, including the preparation of relevant account information and file-notes.
- Assist with the preparation of new business propositions to prospective clients.
- Co-ordinate and interact with all areas of the business to support existing and new client relationships.
- Collate documentation and prepare investment proposals.
- Collate documentation and prepare new credit and credit renewal proposals.
- Collate documentation and information and documentation for standard risk reviews, high risk reviews, investment reviews and lending reviews where required.
- To ensure that reviews are completed within deadlines.
- Support the strategic approach to new client attraction, working closely with colleagues across the front office and marketing.
- Assist in proactive development of existing client relationships and identifying opportunities for cross selling other services offered by the Bank or other parts of the Nedbank Group.
- Proactively promote the bank including networking and attending relevant industry events.
- Co-ordinate and / or support events and campaigns organised by the bank to promote its business.
- Manage and control CRM reporting requirements for the relationship managers.
- Monitor and manage client pipeline and opportunities via existing CRM systems to enable accurate forecasting and measurement.
- Prepare data and reports to assist the relationship managers.
- When necessary, travel to visit existing and prospective clients to maintain and manage the client relationship with a view to protecting existing business and attracting further business from existing and potential new clients.
- Maintain a current knowledge and understanding of risk appetite, risk management processes, risk reviews procedures, and work closely with the office risk and compliance functions to ensure that the portfolio of clients is managed in a risk-controlled manner and in compliance with company risk policies.
- To undertake such other duties as the Bank may require from time to time.

**Professional Qualifications**
- Can demonstrate proactive development plans through the attainment of suitable professional qualifications.
- Attained or working towards a level 4 investment qualification which is appropriate for the role and meets current regulatory standards.
- Ideally, the CISI Investment Advice Diploma (IAD).
- Attained or working towards a level 3, or 4 lending qualification appropriate for the role, which meets current regulatory standards.
- Ideally the LIBF Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMap).
- Will undertake continuous professional development to keep up to date with developments within the industry and comply with training and competence policy.

**Technical Skills and Experience**
- At least five years’ experience in corporate / private banking
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the bank’s risk appetite and the fundamental risks associated with the portfolio of current clients and prospective clients.
- Demonstrate an understanding of corporate structuring and on-boarding requirements.
- Demonstrate an aptitude and experience of working with senior contacts at large corporate and intermediary clients.
