**The opportunity**
As a Systems Assurance, Governance & Change Manager, you need to drive performance across all teams within Safety & Sustainability in providing a clear, consistent approach to manage several core systems and processes. This includes leading a multi-disciplinaryteam to ensure the following is achieved:

- Employees and Contractors across Cadent are equipped with the right systems and solutions to carry out their role safely and efficiently. ?
- Performance reporting is proactively used, facilitates continual improvements and best practice sharing. ?
- We’re compliant with the safety case that clearly outlines the principles of how Cadent operates, driving ownership & accountability. ?
- An effective SHES Management System is used to protect employees and contractors to comply with legal requirements.

**Key accountabilities**
- Ensuring Safety & Sustainability has a clear framework to identify and effectively manage risk and assurance within their specialist teams and for business wide risks for which we are the SME.
- Managing the performance reporting process for the Executive, Board Committees and sub committees. Having a structured and governed approach to provide Cadent with accurate SHES MI, enabling functions & teams to drive performance.
- Accountable for ensuring a clear process and controls are in place to effectively manage changes within the Safety Case. This includes the delivery of a periodic end to end review of the Safety Case in readiness for the HSE.
- Developing and managing the Safety & Sustainability finance budget by having an accurate forecast throughout the year to enable early decision making on expenditure and to ensure the year end spend is within budget.
- Accountable for Cadent’s Document Management System for all SHES & Engineering Policies, Standards and Specifications etc. ensuring employees have easy access to the right documentation and enabling compliance with various legislative and regulatory obligations.
- Owning the integrated SHES Management System, providing a clear framework for document control and ensuring technical reviews are effectively completed when required.
- To lead and drive the development and implementation of the Safety & Sustainability strategy, seeking opportunity for consistency of approach across the disciplines. Ensure clear alignment, synergies and efficiencies of Safety & Sustainability prioritieswith Cadent commitments.
- Defining a suite of key performance indicators to provide insights and updates to stakeholders on delivery of the strategy and alignment to Cadent’s business plan.
- Building a framework and delivery plan to ensure both internal & external stakeholders are engaged and understand the strategic approach and priorities for Safety, Health, Environment and Security.
- Developing and managing Safety & Sustainability digitalisation strategy and ensuring change management framework is effectively across all specialist’s teams with Safety & sustainability to implement and embed new ways of working.
- Provide focus for the central SHES strategy, ensuring that stakeholders including regulators, the Board and Exec are involved in its creation. Provide project management for the creation of the strategy, its business-wide roll out and the ongoing projectmanagement and reporting against the plan that will support it. Ensure that the plan is widely reported through the business and to regulators.

- Developing clear strategies that provide clarity on current state and the service provided, with a clear view on desired goal and how the change will be achieved.
